Bankers split on the NBU policy rate
Two of five bank representatives surveyed expect the NBU to keep its policy rate at 16% at the October 29 meeting. Two expect a rise of 0.5 percentage points to 16.5%. One considers both scenarios possible.
Backup power options limited in Konotop
Some residents of Konotop in Sumy region are without power for a fifth day after the Russian strike overnight on October 24, according to Sumyoblenergo. Restoration work continues around the clock. Damage to several energy facilities has significantly complicated repairs and limited backup supply options.
