NBU increases interventions by $1.1 million
The National Bank of Ukraine increased its interbank market interventions by $1.1 million last week, according to statistics published on the regulator’s website. The total reached $1 billion 249.9 million.
Fake chat costs Hong Kong employee about $500,000
An employee of a cryptocurrency exchange company in Hong Kong lost over HK$4 million — about $500,000 — through a fake WhatsApp work group. The attackers accessed the employee’s account, copied the genuine chat and posed as a client to send a cryptocurrency exchange request.
